Library

The ICS Library is considered a community resource and is open to all students, faculty, and staff. The library offers a great selection of print and digital materials that can be accessed through the library catalog.

Families are welcome to come and use the library before and after the regular school day or to pop in for check-out-only during the school day.

Library Hours:

All ES classes visit the library weekly as part of their regular schedule.  The goals of our library program include instilling a love of reading as well as fostering inquiry and information literacy skills by collaborating with teachers to embed these skills within the classroom units of study.  To further develop a culture of reading at ICS, the library sponsors many special events during the school year including author visits, reading challenges, Poetry Month, Scholastic Book Clubs, book award programs and parent and staff literacy sessions.

The library offers a great selection of print and digital materials that are updated annually. All resources can be accessed through our online catalog at www.icslibraries.follettdestiny.com

All ICS students may borrow library materials for a 3-week period according to their grade level:

All community members are expected to care for and return library materials in a timely manner.  Patrons will be asked to pay the price of materials that are lost or damaged beyond repair. Official school records will be withheld until all overdue books are returned and all fees for damaged or lost books are paid.

Please see one of our librarians for more information regarding any aspect of our library program. You can also visit our library website HERE.
