The ICS Library is considered a community resource and is open to all students, parents, faculty, and staff. Families are welcome to come and use the library before and after the regular school day or to pop in for quick check-out-only during the school day.
Library Hours:
Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Wednesday 7:30 AM - 2:15 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
All ES classes visit the library weekly as part of their regular schedule. The goals of our library program include instilling a love of reading, as well as fostering inquiry and information literacy skills by collaborating with teachers to embed these skills within the classroom units of study. To further develop a culture of reading at ICS, the library sponsors many special events during the school year including author visits, reading challenges, Library Week, Reading Under the Stars, Battle of the Books, Scholastic Book Clubs, and more.
The library offers a great selection of print and digital materials that are updated annually. All resources can be accessed through our online catalog.
All community members are expected to care for and return library materials in a timely manner. Patrons will be asked to pay a pre-set price for materials that are lost or damaged beyond repair. Official school records will be withheld until all overdue books are returned and all fees for damaged or lost books are paid.
Please see one of our librarians for more information regarding any aspect of our library program. You can also visit our library website HERE.
