To the Beach
While many will take a weekend away from Abdijan for a night or two at the beach, resorts commonly welcome day guests for a small fee, or a minimum spent at the restaurant and/or bar. When leaving first thing in the morning, Grand Bassam is accessible in just about 1 hour, and Assini about 1.5-2. Coming back mid to late afternoon might be a bit slower in traffic, but you'll be sun-kissed and happy, so who cares!?

A favorite place for a weekend stay, or just a day trip, this upscale hotel and restaurant offers a lovely beach, pool, and good food. The prices are higher than some, but the tranquaility is worth it.
Popular for a daytrip to Bassam, this hotel has a nice beach and pool with good local food.
Assini
A popular day or weekend destination. This higher-end option allows for day-trips for a fee (separate fee for beach or pool, which is inland), but no minimum spending at the restaurant.
An ICSA favorite for a weekend or a day! A lovely smaller family-oriented spot with beach and pool together and some additional activities for the kids.
A beautiful site for a weekend away, this is an upscale option for a treat when you're in Assinie, recommended for adults and older children. It is said to have a fantastic Sunday brunch.
Jacqueville

Though small huts are available for a night's stay, many will visit this lovely breezy spot to see some animals, take a ride on the zipline, and have a meal in the fresh air.
