Things to do in Abidjan

While many spend their weekends heading to the beach, or hitting up an Air-Conditioned Mall for some food and shopping, there are a variety of other options in Abidjan!

A lovely protected green space in Bingerville just a short drive from ICSA. This is a great place to bring a frisbee, have a picnic, or go for a stroll without the noises and complications of city traffic.  There is an entrance fee.

A short drive from the city, and a small entrance fee will allow you access to an expansive and lush tropical forest. A large dirt road is easily walkable with a stroller, bikes (rental available) or by foot, and will eventually lead you through a small village where an outdoor cafe and basic ropes course is available.

Dahlia Flour Park is another outdoor option for a walk, picnic or bike without the crowds and traffic of the city.

“The Hash has weekly walks out in nature that are kid-friendly and fun (the French speaking Saturday hash. The Sunday English speaking hash is a little less kid friendly.) - ICSA Staff Member

Offering riding lessons during the week, you can stop by and see the horses on the weekends at this hidden gem near the Riviera Golf Club.

An lush outdoor ropes course with three levels of adventure for all ages.

Book a day away from the city for some village living.  Take a canoe ride, eat locally, and hopefully see some hippos! Check out the other day tours offered by Domaine Bini a well! More info HERE.

A hotel with a nice pool and good Sunday buffet for spending a day relaxing in the City

A lovely art initiative offering painting, pottery and more as well as tours of chocolate farms and workshops.  The expat and English speaking communities are welcome to join, most activities will have and English speaker involved! Location of events may vary, message them on Instagram for upcoming events.
