Around Cote 'd Ivoire 

If you feel like venturing beyond the city life, besides the nearby beaches, there is a lot to explore around the Country.  With improving roads and travel options, driving is increasingly possible, and flights are also an option to some areas.  Below you will find both specific stopping points, and general areas that our community recommend when exploring Cote 'd Ivoire. 

Mon Afric in Bouake

Bouake is Côte d'Ivoire's 2nd largest city, and just 50 miles from the countries largest lake. (Lake Kossou) Mon Africa is a small recommended hotel for exploring this part of the country. 

On the way to Assinie, you will pass through Bouke and might want to consider a stop at this quirky hotel! 

Enotel beach hotel in San Pedro

While a much further journey than Grand Bassam or Assinie, San Pedro beaches are worth the journey when you have a bit more time. This rustic hotel offers great views, and a lovely beach experience, recommended by ICSA teachers.

On the far side of the Country, is a destination is recommended for its culture and dance.

A short drive from Abidjan, and a beautiful area, many go to see Hippos!  

A beautiful coastal town, it's commonly visited for it's proximiity to Assagny National Park.

The official capital of Côte d'Ivoire, visitors often go to see the largest Christian church in the world: The Basilica of Our Lady of Peace.
