General Medical Information

The following resources are offered to provide general information to the ICSA and English Speaking Communities in Abidjan.  They are not intended as medical recommendations, or guarantees of medical services. 

No appointments are necessary at Farah clinic. Arrive as early as you can, and check-in with the front desk by writing your name on the waiting list. Patients are welcomed on a come first serve basis, so to avoid long waiting times, it is highly recommended to arrive at clinics before 7:30 (also traffic can be very bad after 7:00).

If he’s on rotation when you visit, Dr. Hassan Keak is recommended and speaks English.

Dr Ghassan Fakhreddine

Dr. Ghassan Fakhreddine speaks English and does home visits in the mornings. He works at the Prima Center in the afternoons. He has studied medicine in Cote 'd'Ivoire and France and has practiced medicine in Abidjan for more than 20 years. When coming to your home for a consultation, the cost is 30,000 CFA, and can be paid in cash, check, or through Orange money. He will see children ages 5 and older, possibly as young as 3 when necessary.  He can take blood to run labs. (fakhreddine.ghassan@yahoo.fr)

Dr. Vanie

Dr. Vanie works closely with the ICSA community, is an English speaker and trusted physician. He has office hours at ICSA for staff and children once a week, and operates out of his own office by appointment on other days. He can be reached directly at: +225 07 93 72 42

Docaya

A direct connection to medical services through a WhatsApp program that will take you through an initial set-up, (ISCA staff send your insurance info for direct billing) and help you navigate a medical concern.  Simply send a message to: +225 0758583937 to begin setting up communications. Though the initial automated messages may be in French, requesting English will result in English replies (after a few minutes).
