Poster and platform guidelines

The poster boards are made of fabric over foam board, and will be placed on an easel. The boards themselves measure are 3 feet x 4 feet (91 x 122 cm) and can be arranged either horizontally or vertically. You will be provided with four binder clips with which to attach your poster.

Posters are displayed in Calhoun, Rutledge, and Laurens rooms - all are adjacent to each other. Signs outside the rooms will indicate the poster numbers being presented in that room, and cards will be placed on each board, showing you where to set up your poster.

All posters should be hung up by 8:30am on the day of your presentation, and will remain up until 6:30pm that evening. You, or a co-author, should be physically present by your poster from 4:30-6:30pm. Please don’t forget to remove your poster when the session is over.

There are three concurrent platform sessions that will take place in Gold, Carolina A, and Carolina B Ballrooms. Sessions will begin at 8:40am each morning and 1:30pm on Monday and Tuesday afternoon.

Each presentation in the session will last for 15 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes for questions. Your presentation should be prepared in PowerPoint software and brought to the conference on a flash drive. All speakers are asked to arrive at least 20 minutes before your session starts to upload your presentation. This means arrival no later than 8:20am for morning sessions and 1:10pm for afternoon sessions.

Computers will be available in the Drayton room so that you can run through or update your presentation as needed.
