The selection of students for the Erasmus+ project was carried out through a transparent and inclusive process involving the Class Councils.
Each Class Council proposed students based on a combination of criteria. Academic achievement was taken into consideration, but it was not the only factor. Particular attention was also given to students' soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, responsibility, adaptability, and motivation. In addition, teachers considered the educational value that participation in the project could have for each student, especially as an opportunity to enhance personal growth, increase self-confidence, and encourage active participation in school life.
The aim was to ensure equal opportunities by selecting students who could both benefit from the international experience and make a positive contribution to the project activities.
Once the list of proposed students had been compiled, their parents or legal guardians were invited to an information meeting. During this meeting, the objectives of the Erasmus+ project, the planned mobility activities, and the responsibilities of participating families were clearly explained. Parents received all the necessary information about the programme and were asked to express their availability regarding participation in the hosting and mobility activities. Specifically, families could indicate whether they were willing to:
both host a visiting student and allow their child to participate in mobility abroad;
host a visiting student only;
allow their child to participate in mobility abroad only.
The final list of participants was established after collecting the families' declarations of availability and ensuring that the project requirements could be successfully met.
The selection of staff participants was carried out through an open and transparent procedure.
A Call for Applications was published internally, inviting all eligible teaching and non-teaching staff to apply for participation in the Erasmus+ mobility activities.
Following the submission of applications, an evaluation committee assessed the candidates according to the selection criteria established in the call. These included the applicants' motivation, the relevance of the proposed mobility to their professional role, their commitment to the school's internationalisation strategy, their potential to disseminate the knowledge and skills acquired, and their expected contribution to the improvement of teaching practices and the overall quality of the school.
Based on the evaluation, a ranking list was drawn up, ensuring a fair, transparent, and non-discriminatory selection process. The staff members selected for participation were chosen according to their position in the ranking list and the number of mobilities available under the Erasmus+ project.
