2) Reading:
This week our work is based on the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

4) Writing:
In chapter 1 we are introduced to many characters. The author, J. K. Rowling, gives detailed descriptions of each character's physical appearance.
Task - Choose a character from the first chapter to sketch. Label your drawing with information drawn directly from the text, for example Hagrid has ‘long tangles of bushy black hair’, and ‘hands the size of dustbin lids’.
Below is an example of a labelled sketch from another author's book.

World Oceans Day takes place on the 8th of June.
On World Oceans Day, people around our blue planet celebrate and honor the ocean, which connects us all.

Draw the bubbles below in your book and write your thoughts inside them. Fill your page with pictures of ocean life once you've finished.

Task 3- Design a World Oceans Day awareness badge:
Now that you have learnt about World Oceans Day, design a badge to celebrate and honor the oceans. Below are previous examples to inspire you. You can choose to draw the badge on a reusable bag or item of clothing.

Dyma raglen o gyfres yn dogfennu'r hyn y mae plant Cymru yn eu gwneud wrth hunanynysu, drwy gyfrwng flogs wedi eu creu ganddyn nhw.
Ar ôl gwylio'r rhaglen, beth am i chi greu cuddfan fel gwnaeth Gwern yn y tŷ neu'r ardd? Gallwch ddefnyddio blancedi, clustogau, brigau coed ayyb.
Task 4-Watching a Welsh television programme:
This is a programme from a series documenting what children in Wales are doing while isolating, through blogs created by them.
After watching the programme, why not create a den like Gwern did in the house or garden? You could use blankets, cushions, tree branches etc.

Additional activity:
Emrys, Gwenllian, Elliw and Ioan were exercising in the rugby field with their father. Why not play their game? Emrys explains how to play the game on the programme. You will need strips of paper, pencil and a dice.
