1) Phonics:
Click on the link to watch the video introducing the a-e sound.
Task: Read the words in the table that include the a-e sound. Then, write sentences including each of the words in your book. Please see the example below.
2) Reading:
Task: Click on the link to listen to the story 'The Day the Crayons Came Home' and follow the words on the screen.
Draw a picture of your favourite crayon and write a few sentences explaining why you've chosen it. You can present this how you like. There is an example below for inspiration.
3) Spelling:
Task: Use colourful pencils / crayons to practise writing the following words. Fill your page with colour.
4) Writing:
Draw an outline of a pencil case in the middle of your page. Then, fill it with any items you'd like in it.
Task: Write sentences explaining why each item is unhappy around the pencil case. Be as creative as you can!
Task: Duncan lost many of his crayons. Imagine you are an item from his pencil case and he has lost you. Write a post card to Duncan explaining where he lost you and what happened to you. Use your imagination!

Tasg 1 - Creu Cwmpawd:
Task 1 - Create a compass:
Mae gan gwmpawd 4 neu 8 pwynt fel y gwelwch yn y lluniau. Defnyddiwch sialc, papur, peniau neu unrhyw fath o offer er mwyn creu cwmpawd eich hun. Gallwch ddewis creu un 4 neu 8 pwynt. Mae rhai enghreifftiau isod.
A compass has 4 or 8 points as seen in the pictures. Use chalk, paper, pens or any other equipment to create your own compass. You can choose to do a 4 or 8 point compass. Here are some examples.

Using the grid above, answer the questions below.

Gwnewch grid eich hun a llenwch e gyda'ch hoff bethau. Yna ysgrifennwch gyfarwyddiadau o sut i gyrraedd llefydd gwahanol. Cofiwch y bydd angen man cychwyn. Mae enghraifft isod.
Create your own grid and fill it with some of your favourite things. Then write instructions on how to reach the different things. Remember you will need a starting point. There's an example below.

Task: In the garden or somewhere outside, follow the instructions in the picture. Why not write your own and get a family member to follow them? Please see the example. Remember to use your compass to help you!

Task: Experiment with items in your house. Will they sink or float? Complete the table in your book. Predict (guess) first and then experiment.

Task 4-Watching a Welsh television programme:
Tasg: Gwyliwch y rhaglen Henri Helynt. Mae Henri yn breuddwydio am fyd heb hufen ia, ac mae e methu ymdopi! Pa fwyd fyddech chi'n methu ymdopi hebddo? Gallwch ysgrifennu brawddeg neu ddwy, gwneud llun neu recordio eich hun yn esbonio.
Tasg ychwanegol: Fedrwch chi greu blas hufen ia newydd? Tynnwch lun yn eich llyfr a labelwch y cynhwysion.
Task: Watch 'Henri Helynt'. Henri dreams of a world without ice-cream and he can't cope! Which food would you miss the most? You could write a sentence or two, draw a picture and write a little explanation or record yourself explaining why.
Additional task: Can you create a new flavour for an ice-cream? Draw a picture in your book and label the ingredients.
