Cafeteria Expectations

CAFETERIA RULES

There are a few rules that apply to all children who eat at school:

• Wait quietly in line. Running, pushing, or fighting is not permitted.

• Once children are seated, they are to remain seated unless they have permission to leave their seat. Students are not permitted to change seats, or to wander around in the cafeteria.

• If a student has a concern they are to raise their hand – an aide will provide assistance. Appropriate table manners are expected. Casual conversation is encouraged, but yelling will not be permitted.

• If students drop something, or otherwise make a mess, they will be expected to pick up after themselves. The throwing of paper and/or food will not be permitted.

• Students will keep trash with them at their seat until they are dismissed and will throw away all trash at one time.

• Students are encouraged to attempt to open containers and packages independently before asking for adult assistance.
