In English, we have been writing a persuasive letter to try and prevent the building work that is happening on Farthing Wood- this is the plot of our Year 5 text for this term - The Animals of Farthing Wood. We have also been self assessing to check that our writing contains all of the necessary features.
NC -Pupils should be taught to: plan their writing by: identifying the audience for and purpose of the writing, selecting the appropriate form and using other similar writing as models for their own noting and developing initial ideas, drawing on reading and research where necessary
-evaluate and edit by: assessing the effectiveness of their own and others’ writing
-using modal verbs or adverbs to indicate degrees of possibility
This week, we have been researching the life of King Charles lll in preparation for the coronation on Saturday May 6th. We have found out lots of interesting facts and we are now writing a biography on his life.
