Module 1
In our history lessons, we have been looking at the history of Chatham Dockyard. We identified when it was first created and what its principle use was for. We have also examined how it has changed over time and the effect it has had on Medway. We researched and created our own information pages.
N. C continue to develop a chronologically secure knowledge and understanding of British, local and world history, establishing clear narratives within and across the periods they study. They should note connections, contrasts and trends over time and develop the appropriate use of historical terms.
We were lucky enough to go on a trip to Upnor castle and learnt about the Dutch raid on the English in 1667.
Module 2
In our History lesson we have been looking at the Industrial Revolution and how this led to our dependency on fossil fuels for power. We answered the question 'Why was steam important?'
NC should regularly address and sometimes devise historically valid questions about change, cause, similarity and difference, and significance
Module 3
Causes of World War II
We looked at the events that led up to World War II and identified the key events that caused the war.

Major Events of World War II
We looked at the major events of World War II to help understand the chronology.
The Battle of Britain and the Blitz
We looked at the Battle of Britain and The Blitz a significant events in British history.
NC: a significant turning point in British history, for example, the first railways or the Battle of Britain
Children in the War
We then looked the impact that this had on people during the war, in particular children.
Rationing
We also looked at other aspects of the war that had an impact on people and why this came about.
