As a HUM Driver, when you conduct a private ride, you are responsible for quoting and collecting the fare directly from your passenger. When your route includes locations that assess tolls (such as airports), you must include these toll amounts in your quoted fare.
When you pass through a toll during a private ride, the toll amount ($3.50-$5.15) will be automatically deducted from your in-app wallet. If you don't include this cost in your fare quote, you will effectively pay the toll out of your own earnings.
Add a Payment Card
Navigate to: (ANDROID) Earnings tab → Wallet credit balance → Add card (IOS) Wallet tab → Add card
This card will be used to fund your wallet for toll payments
Wallet Balance Requirements
You cannot conduct a private ride if your wallet balance falls below $10.00
Your wallet will automatically be replenished by $25.00 when funds are needed
Note: Wallet balances are not refundable
Before Accepting a Private Ride
Check if your route will include toll roads or toll-charging facilities such as airports
Verify your wallet has sufficient funds (minimum $10.00)
When Quoting Your Fare
Include the anticipated toll charges ($3.50-$5.15 per toll) in your quoted price
Clearly communicate to your passenger that the fare includes toll charges
After the Ride
Toll amounts will be automatically deducted from your wallet
Always maintain a sufficient wallet balance to avoid disruption to your ability to accept private rides
Plan your routes in advance to accurately quote fares that include potential toll charges
Monitor your wallet balance regularly
Tolls by airport: Sky Harbor $5.15 - Mesa Gateway and Tucson International $3.50
