Why We Use Stripe
HUM does not touch your fares, which is why we utilize Stripe–one of the world’s most reliable third-party financial infrastructure platforms–for payment processing. This is also the same company that manages your subscription. Stripe is responsible for the authorization and collection of fares from the passenger to be paid to you, the driver.
You must establish a Stripe account through the HUM Driver app–even if you have some other relationship with Stripe, this must be done with HUM. Without a Stripe account, activated through HUM, a driver cannot get paid! And we at HUM cannot bear the responsibility for payments of fares for a driver without an active Stripe account through the HUM app!
Stripe Setup
Open HUM Driver
Click on the "Hamburger Menu"
Click on your Profile Picture to access your Profile
Tap the Edit icon (pencil icon in upper right) to edit your Profile
Tap Account Details > Connect with Stripe
This will take you out of the HUM app to the secure Stripe website
You will be asked to establish your account and connect your banking information (this is the account where your fares will be deposited)
You will be asked to enter your website or social media link. You can use www.humrideshare.com for this.
When your Account Details shows “View Stripe”, instead of “Connect with Stripe”, this indicates you successfully completed your Stripe setup. You can view your earnings and payments through this connection or online at https://connect.stripe.com/express_login
