Students are required to complete at least 1 CAS Project in 2 year programme. CAS Project is an experience that meets the below requirements.
Focuses on 2 or more strands of CAS (Creativity, Action, Service)
Lasts a minimum of 1 month from planning to completion
Includes collaborative aspects (LO5) with a group of students or with member of the wider community.
Includes engagement to global significance (LO6) , focusing on meaningful and authentic needs to ensure actions are respectful and reciprocal.
Uses CAS stages as a framework and designed with a defined purpose and goals
CAS Project Proposal form must be submitted and approved by the CAS Coordinator prior to the start of the project.
CAS Project is approved, supervised and reviewed by CAS Coordinator. Students must create a CAS Project Proposal in Google Form to demonstrate their ATL skills. This stage is the evidence of your Investigation and Preparation further to manage the project, which tends to be more complex to manage compared to other CAS experiences
Anything can be a CAS Project as long as it meets the above requirements and you are passionate about it. Here is what older students did in the past.
Collaboration
You need to complete Project Propsal Form with your collaborators to set your goals and action plans for your project and Learning Outcomes. (Collaboration and Global Engagement) Send it to CAS Coordinator once you complete the section 1 to fine tune your plans with the coordinator.
You may find the below formts useful while you work on your project. They can use used as evidence for your learning outcomes. (Collaboration and Global Engagement)
After your project is approved by CAS Coordinator, you need to create a Project post in the same way as Experience. Ensure to click "CAS Project" box when you create the post. This helps your Coordinator and Advisor know which post they need to be reading. CAS Coordinator will be supporting you with your Project.
