Experiences vs projects
Experience = any CAS actions you might take that includes 1 of CAS strands, Learning Outcome, a goal, reflections and evidences.
Project = a CAS experience that includes 2 of CAS stands, the Learning Outcomes of Collaboration and Global Engagement, and a Project goal that are all planned out using CAS Project Proposal, and goes through CAS stages. Students are required to complete at least 1 Project a year.
Supervisor vs Advisor vs Coordinator
Supervisor = Teacher/coach who works with you on a particular experience you have planed. (CCP supervisor, Sport team coach, Stu-Co supervisor, etc.)
Advisor = Teacher who works closely with you on all your CAS Experiences. (Your HR teacher)
Coordinator = Teacher who works with you on overall CAS Programme, and your CAS Projects. (Ms. Misao)
Long Term Plan vs Summary page
Long Term Plan = Your annual plan for CAS Programme. You submit this to your CAS Coordinator at the start of a year.
Summary page = A section of CAS Portfolio on Managebac. All CAS experience/project need to have Descriptions and Goals on Summary page after you complete your Long Term Plan,
Goal setting, Learning Outcome and actionable strategy
Goal setting = Goals for your CAS Experience/Project. There should be a goal for the experience/project itself, and for your learning. (Learning Outcome)
Learning Outcome = There are 7 prescribed Learning Outcomes for CAS. Check Learning Outcome sections for details.
Actionable strategy = A plan of actions on how you might accomplish your goal. Students are encouraged to use a sentence starter and describe an action(s), for example, "In order for me to develop collaboration skills, I will utilise a meeting agenda and share it with my co-leaders in each meeting for clear communication.
