A definition of depression is that depression is a mental illness that changes a persons mood and activity level that could impact a persons day to day functions.
Signs of depression:
1- If the person is not doing what they like to do anymore.
2- If you ever feel like hurting yourself or someone else.
3- If you feel more tired than usual or not getting very good sleep and you have a change in your appetite.
Symptoms of depression:
1- If you see someone having a hard time paying attention in class or having trouble remembering what they learned.
2- If you are feeling restless or slowed down and feeling like you don't want to do anything.
3- If you feel like you are worthless or feeling guilty of things.
4- If you ever have thoughts of death dying or suicide.
5- If you ever find yourself feeling empty, irritable, or sad.
6- If you feel like your starting to lose interest in hobbies or sports you like.
Causes of depression:
1- Drama

3 ways someone can handle depression is:
1- Therapist
2- Start a new hobbies, a new sport, listen to music or make music, and take a walk or ride a bike.
3- A trusted adult or a trusted friend.
One thing that we will do differently now that we know about this topic is that if we see someone feeling left out or sad and alone we should include them even if they are not our friend.
