In this lesson, students will become familiar with our National Marine Sanctuaries and select one to research further for a better understanding of the sanctuary’s underwater habitats and critters. They will explore with one of their classmates the depths and diversity of our ocean.

Each group will create a poster for one of the National Marine Sanctuaries being protected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) National Marine Sanctuary Program. They will utilize multiple online resources for their research including a Virtual Reality dive of the sanctuary.
