It can be difficult to know when your child needs outside help for a behavioral of learning problem. If the problem you're worried about goes on for a while, gets worse, or gets in the way of your child's daily life, those are reasons to seek help. If something happens just once or your child is facing a big change such as a divorce, moving or a new sibling, those issues will usually pass with time. The 2 resources below may be a good place to start in gathering more information or structuring your conversation with medical or educational professionals about your concerns for your child.
