MEMBERSHIP
Students must apply for semester membership, towards the CSF Life Member count, each semester and are not automatically counted without applying. See Intro Letter above for more information about becoming a CSF Life Member. Students may still participate in chapter meetings and activities during a semester in which they did not apply or qualify. The hope is they will apply/qualify the next semester.
Congratulations to the following students for qualifying for Fall 2025 Semester Membership in California Scholarship Federation (CSF) and California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF) based on Spring 2025 grades. These names will be posted in the October Counseling Newsletter.
The application deadline has passed. The next application cycle, based on Fall 2025 grades, will have a deadline of 1/30/26 at noon.
If you previously qualified for CSF or CJSF Semester Membership at your prior school, please ask the CSF or CJSF Adviser at your prior school to email a letter stating which semesters of membership you qualified for to Melora Klusnick at mklusnick@hcs.k12.ca.us.
Students whose prior school did not have a CSF or CJSF chapter (verified here) are permitted to submit applications for past semesters for retroactive Semester Membership in order to achieve CSF Sealbearer/Life Member or CJSF Honor Member status.
Contact Melora Klusnick if you have questions about your progress towards CSF Sealbearer/Life Member status or CJSF Honor Member status.
CHAPTER MEETINGS
We encourage members to participate in chapter meetings held several times each semester, online through Zoom; however, meeting attendance is not required. For more information, contact the CSF/CJSF Adviser Melora Klusnick at mklusnick@hcs.k12.ca.us or 916-846-4703.

In 2021, three of our Officers (Safiya Munif, Hawa Desai, and Katie Huddleston) were part of this amazing event by presenting at the conference! Their 20 minute session called "How to Virtual" highlighted all the amazing ways our chapter has mastered virtual operations, from virtual meetings and agendas to online communication. This will be valuable to so many CSF/CJSF chapters struggling to pivot to virtual operations during Covid-19.

After the event the flyers that Safiya Munif created for our chapter were adopted by CSF and posted on their website! You can find them here.
