🔎 What Did We Decide?

We decided the question "If given an additional budget or resources, what would we add to the deck."

📝 Why Did We Choose This?

We chose this to show people what the deck could look like with a bigger budget or more resources.

⚠ What Problems Might Happen?

The problem that might happen is accidentally going over budget or the deck not being able to hold everything up.

✅ How Will We Fix Problems?

We can fix this problem by finding a cheaper yet good quality solution.

📢 Decision Summary: Are team chose this to help show how much potential the deck has. This makes sense because the deck is going to be one of the most popular spots.

2/14 Decision Log

🔎 What Did We Decide?

We decided on a layout based on the pavilion that is currently outside. The pavilion will be the classroom, with tables and tree stump seating. Gardens will be on the side of the pavilion, with the pathway forming a loop around the marsh.

📝 Why Did We Choose This?

We decided on this layout because it provides full accessibility to all students and allows comfortable and beneficial transportation.

⚠ What Problems Might Happen?

The pathway may not be fully accessible and we may have issues with making the ramps.

✅ How Will We Fix Problems?

Work with other teams to determine backup resources in case we cannot get the desired resources.

📢 Decision Summary:

Our design has minimized space for the classroom, while also providing full accessibility for all students. The design will include tables (in the pavilion), with tree stump seating and gardens, but our main focus is the pathway. This pathway will include ramps and other features to provide accessibility to all students while also remaining in the budget.

This week, we have researched appropriate materials and prices and have considered the company’s Audience and the products the sell.

📝 Why Did We Choose This?

This was important because without having the information of what things we are buying, we wouldn't understand what we need fundraising for. Additionally, knowing who we are asking donations from will help us better know what they might provide.

⚠ What Problems Might Happen?

Some challenges we may face is not having the money to buy some of the materials or not getting enough donations.

✅ How Will We Fix Problems?

If that happens, we will improvise and find new ways to fund-raise and get the materials we need.

📢 Decision Summary:

Over the span of this week, we have researched prices and ways to fund raise. We have recognized possible challenges in our process and found solutions to keep things going. Over all, we have had a productive week of figuring out key information in our marshland project.

We decided that getting nature supplies and natural resources will be our biggest expense.

📝 Why Did We Choose This?

This became evident because this category includes everything for our garden space as well as wood and natural resources for other projects.

⚠ What Problems Might Happen?

Materials may cost more than we had expected.

✅ How Will We Fix Problems?

We will use our extra money in our miscellaneous funds to make up the difference.

📢 Decision Summary: Over all, we have organized our funds and decided that our highest expense is our nature products and natural resources. These funds consist of planting materials like soil, seed, fertilizer, etc and natural resources like wood and stone. In case of insufficient funds, we will cover the difference with our extra money in our Miscellaneous account.
