Students worked collaboratively to design a bird house that we sold in the farmers market.
In an effort to understand photosynthesis students planted and watered garden starts that were sold in the farmers market.
We started with a rock, took measurements and made observations, then put it into a rock tumbler to witness in real time weathering and erosion.
Students worked to add different elements of texture to a house that was built from paper.
The engineering and design process is important, especially when you use it to learn science and social studies. We have learned a little about the history of toys and how the industrial revolution has changed toys. We have decided that making toys is a great way to enjoy them. We have taken toys apart to learn what is inside and how they work. We are planning and building a child's toy. Planning was exciting in the whiteboards around the room.
