Students learn about energy and how it transfers. Our wind chimes taught us that wind energy is transfered to kinetic energy and then to sound energy.
We examined layers of the earth under a microscope, and examined sediment or sand from different parts of the world. We were also able to meet paleontologists while we excavated dinosaurs from both sand and rock.
Energy is amazing! There are 2 sources of energy, renewable and nonrenewable. There are lots of types of energy such as heat, light, sound, kinetic, and potential just to name a few. We have created pinwheels to watch wind energy create kinetic energy. We also learned that we can transfer energy, such as when we throw a paper airplane.
