Students brought in nature inspired Ornaments that decorated a garland in the hall at South.

Students decorated a turkey to disguise it as protection from being hunted.
To celebrate the Harvest Moon and the Reveur house students learned about the Moon Festival, what the Harvest Moon means, and placed a sticker on a poster and wrote a dream they have.
Students brought in masks they created at home that were hung in the hall at the South Campus.

Pi Day was fun as we decorated our piece of the pie, went for a circle scavenger hunt, circle sudoku, and lots of classroom activities.
We had a very sucessful STEM night on April 10-11,2024
We had a wonderful turn out from the community with visitors, food trucks, and guest vendors.
A group of Hawthorn Teachers learned about phenomenon based teaching while they were able to hold butterflys, pet goats, and so much more.
Students and teachers celebrated National STEM Day by Observing with Wonder. We had a competition for most interesting observation and lots of STEM Activities in the classrooms.
We have grown cabbage and lettuce in our Hydroponics. We have them in almost 30 classrooms in the district.
The South Jordan Hawthorn had STEM Activities instead of Christmas class parties.
The I Spy wall was hung at both campuses to encourage students to make observations.
At each campus a STEM Closet was organized to give teachers access to supplies needed for STEM Lessons

During Spring conferences we made Straw Rockets.
At the South Campus the Isibindi Christmas tree incorporated Student created STEM Ornaments.
Alturismo invited STEM to the Spirit night so we made Alturismo Snakes
