SUMMARY
My project was originally going to be 3 songs. However, it can be difficult to find studio time for everyone in our band. Actually, two of our members had to move back to the mainland suddenly. Thankfully, they flew back on island for a week to complete this project with me! We were in a band years ago in Chicago. I’m so glad we got to get together again to create some music. Recording one song can be a long process in itself!

My job as the engineer was to get familiar with the MELE Studios, setup all the equipment, and capture all the instruments with the best of my knowledge. We have never recorded together as a group before. You never know what sort of challenges you may deal with. It ranged from audio file transfer problems, to scratchy preamps, to our bass player and vocalist losing her voice for all of our sessions. Nevertheless, it was always fun. We all love similar types of music so we knew what kind of sound we were looking for. Singer/songwriter, pop, rock and folk are some of the main genres we love. I hope you enjoy our song and sound.
