SUMMARY
For my capstone project I decided to create an electronic press kit (EPK) for ukulele player and classmate Noah Chee. Noah wanted to create a single for his capstone project and I wanted to make an EPK, so we decided to collaborate. In doing this, I had an artist as the subject for my EPK along with someone to help him with promotional work for his single. In this EPK the primary elements are the press release and the one sheet, the standard artist essentials, like artist photos and a biography, as well as a direct link to his song. I want people to know that an EPK is essential and it is widely used in the industry. EPKs provide a one-stop-shop for official information about an artist and their upcoming projects. This project gave me the opportunity to highlight his artistry as an ukulele player. His single, "Redemption" holds significance to Noah because it's about how his capstone project sparked a new motivation for him to get back into creating new music. "Redemption" is his first instrumental-only single and is scheduled to release on May 31, so keep an eye out for it!

I used Google Sites to make the EPK, in addition to using Canva and Clipchamp to edit the media I needed. Noah Chee is the artist I decided to collaborate with. He provided me with the single for me to promote. Audio Engineering classmate, Ben Agcaoili, assisted Noah in recording and mixing the single in Mike Curb MELE Studio A. Music Business classmate, Hazel Bermudo, assisted with the photography of my project, taking artist photos at the Ko Olina Lagoons; and Music Business classmate, Matt Wong, agreed to become Noah's music publisher for this single, becoming the main point of contact for Noah's promotion of the single.
