Taking a weekend trip to Jiufen and also did two hikes nearbye.
Arrived in Jiufen by bus, which takes about an hour, and the views from there are absolutely stunning.
Since Jiufen is located in a hilly area, be aware that there are a lot of stairs you'll need to climb to get from one place to another.
The view from our Airbnb was absolutely breathtaking.
At night, we explored Jiufen Old Street, which is famous for its vibrantly lit lanterns that line the streets.
First Hike: Teapot Mountain Trail
My first ever hike in Taiwan was absolutely amazing. Although it was a bit challenging, it was a lot of fun. The hike had an elevation of 590 meters and is called Teapot Mountain because the peak has a rock formation that resembles a teapot from afar
Second Hike: Bitou Cape Park
The following day, we went on another hike, which was a bit more challenging than the first, but the views were just as incredible. From this trail, you can even see our previous hike, Teapot Mountain, in the distance
