Daily Log:

Day 1-List of 10 things, planning questions and we ask miss. on how to use the Embroidery Machine and how to handle some problems that may occur.

Day 2- We pick a design and started to use the Embroidery Machine we tried a few different designs/patterns. We learned some more about how to set everything up and get ready to make a design.

Day 3- We needed a different thread called bobbin thread because the other thread that was in the Embroidery Machine keeps breaking.

Day 4-Got the bobbin thread, we made some designs and we learned how to change the needle.

Using the Embroidery Machine, I created A flower because it is a great beginner design. During this process, I learned how to change the thread in the Embroidery Machine and how to thread the machine to change the needle put the fabric on the hoop. Also how to use the screen to pick and design to print. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project tries to Empowered Learner because I made a choice and picked what I wanted to do and made my own decisions. We also had to learn how to change the needle. I made my own choice for design and project and what string color. A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to change the needle. I was able to do it by having Lynette help us by demonstrating how to do it and then letting us try. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the design to be a more complex design and also the color of the thread. The reason why I would change it is that changing the design to a more complex design and changing the color of the thread so that the design would have multiple colors and would look really cool. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offer Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Embroidery Machine Operator.
