To make a dress for Kyle

Daily Log:
I figured out what color fabric I wanted to use and a small sketch of what I was planning to do.
I gathered all of the materials I need and started measuring kyle and then I cut my materials.
It took me 2 days to cut and make sure it is the right size and shape.
I started sewing together the bottom part of the dress which also took me 2 days to do.
I did the finishing touches on the bottom portion of the dress and then I started to cut the materials.
I cut my materials for the top portion and started sewing the materials.
I put the straps on the dress and the ty in the back.

This is the pattern of the bottom of the dress. Also as you can see the yellow strips are longer because I plan to cut them.
Just like this I cut the yellow strips so it is stringy.
This what back of the dress looks like i used a hole punch to make the hole so i could put string though it so it could be adjustable in the back.
This the top I would say this was the easiest part of the dress.

Using the sewing machine, I created a dress because I was passionate about the sewing machine, and making a dress seemed like a fun challenge. During this process, I learned how to make the top and bottom adjustable.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. I became an empowered learner because I made my own decisions by picking the fabric and the design. I was also an empowered learner. because I earned new stitches. I have pride in my work.
A challenge I overcame on this project was what dies I thought would look best and if it was doable. I was able to do it by looking online and seeing what other designs looked like.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way the ban is adjustable so it is easier to get in. The reason why I would change it is that it is hard to get in and has a high risk of ripening.

My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project is related to fashion design careers.
