7P3 - Micro Bit

REFLECTION

• Using a Micro bit speakers alligator cables and Make Code editor, I created a name badge, a dice thingy, rock paper scissors, and mine craft music because I wanted to make a game you can play solo(rock paper scissors). I also made a dice thingy because I always lose my dice for board games. I made Minecraft music because I enjoy the game and a name tag because it looked cool.

• During this process, I learned how to use Makecode editor. I learned how to use java and python. I learned to use blocks and writing it out which was hard.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructer because I googled answers and looked a tutorials. My project also ties to Computational thinker because my code has to go one way but can't go the other direction.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to type out my code in java. I was able to overcome this challenge by looking at tutorials. I also used 2nd hand sites off of Google.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the Minecraft music. The reason why I would change it is because it just sounded off. I could not find the right tempo either.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Computer Programing CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in Web Developing.
