rickroll someone with a qr code
Are you working by yourself or in a team? Team with the twins
What materials will you need for your project? Lasercutter, a qr code converter, tinkercad
What is your plan to create in this project? A QR code of Never Gonna Give You Up to print out and have people scan to get rickrolled >:)
What unique qualities will your project have?
Memes
Using a laser cutter, a QR code converter, and Tinkercad, I created a Rickrolling QR code because when we were thinking of ideas, Mr. Renner suggested that we should cut a QR code, and then I thought of doing Never Gonna Give You Up. I'd get people to scan it, and then they'd get rickrolled >:)
During this process, I learned how to use a lase rcutter, and how to convert a link into a qr code. I also learned how to use a laser cutter, among other things.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learner because we were determined to figure out how the laser cutter worked, how to use it, how to print a QR code, etc..
A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing what to do or how to do it. I was able to do it by asking the teacher for help, and he gave us ideas and told me what to do when he had our things made (we had to send him the files) When things went wrong, he tried to help by giving us suggestions on how to fix it (even if it didn't work).
Given a chance to do this again, I would change it actually working. The reason why I would change it is because it didn't work, and we didn't have the time to try and fix it and make it work. If we could do it again, I'd make sure we had enough time to fix it. Then we would try and figure out what the issue was so we could fix it.
