Using CSFirst, I created a girl and a squirrel on a boat because I thought it'd be silly to have a squirrel in the girl's boat.
During this process, I learned how to code a wave and how to make sprites talk.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I had to think of what I wanted to code after the wave, and I had to test the coding and fix it if needed.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the wave look smooth. I was able to do it by experiment with different numbers and things.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change when I started. The reason why I would change it is because I started this project late and didn't finish.
This project connects to careers in computer programming and the computer programming at Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program.
