Using cardboard, duct tape, hot glue, and old computer parts, I created a cardboard computer, because I think computers are really cool.
During this process, I learned that if you put your mind to it you can be really creative.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because I can make things that look real and working but are not.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to find a clear piece of plastic. I was able to do it by searching the corners of the room for a long time.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the mouse because i wanted it to function it like a real mouse. The reason why I would change it is because it would add a little spark to my project.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.
