This is my video of a magic crab going from hiding as a ball to his original crab form. He uses a wand to give himself a hat before being eaten by a bigger and stronger crab, who also ends up hiding as a ball.
For my project 9 I did stop motion again but tis time I worked with a partner.
Planning Questions
I will be working on my project with Gabrial.
I will need a lot of things for this including clay, imotion and a backdrop.
My goal is to create a video that has more then just a few clips/pictures.
My project will be unique because we are creating the charcaters and storyline ourselves.
Daily Log
Day One: On day one of our project we came up with the idea of doing stop motion. We created the characters and set up the backdrop. By the end of the hour we had finished the video and we started working on the reflections.
Day Two: On day two I spent more time on the reflection. I added the video on to my website and made sure the share setting were right.
Sentence Starters
Using clay and imotiton, I created a video of a crab because Gabrial came up with the idea, I tought it was a good ideas and agreed. I really liked stop motion the first time I did it for a project so I was open to try it with someone else this time.
During this process, I learned more about stop motion. I already did this before and made a video that was very short and simple, but this time I already knew about it and I was able to make something that I liked more. Plus I had the help of someone else so it made this easier then doing it alone.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicater because I used a variety of different tools and platforms to create an original project.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the storyline clear. I was able to do it by keeping it simple but not really short and making sure the video could clearly show the storyine as we wanted it to. It still might not be the easiest to show but as long as I describe what the characters are supposted to be I think it should be clear.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how I made the video. The reason why I would change it is because the video is very choppy and shows things like the backround and even our hands moving the characters. I wuld like to made sure some of these things don't happen if I were to do stop motion again.
