8P3 Stop Motion

Planning Questions

1. I am working by myself.

2. For my project I will need iMotion, an Ipad, clay for my charaters, and a backdrop.

3. My goal is create a finished stop motion movie.

4. My project will be unique because I am making a scene that I came up.

Making the Stop Motion.

Day One: On the first day, I spent time thinking what I could make for my stop motion video. Once I had gotten an idea of what the stop motion would be about I started to create my characters.

Day Two: On the second day of working on my project I finished making my characters, I set up the scene and finished making the video. This included putting my characters and taking the pictures for the video.

Sentence Starters

• Using iMotion and clay, I created a stop motion movie because I liked the idea once it was presented to me. It was a pretty quick to do but it had many different steps.

• During this process, I learned how to use iMotion and how to take many pictures while moving the characters. I have never done stop motion before this was good project to learn how to do it.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicater because I created a digital artifact. I made a video using different kind technologies that other people can watch or see.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was making my characters. I was able to do it by planning beforehand how I would make them and what my goal with them was. It was difficult to think of a good idea for my characters so I ended up making them really simple.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change my video itself, now that I know what to do I would like to make something a little more challenging or creative. The reason why I would change it is because it is a very simple video with not many cuts. I think I could have made it more complicated or taken more time to make it.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digit CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in animation. My project is a stop motion which is a form of an animation so it connects to careeres in animation.
