7P3- Micro:Bit

Using a Micro;bit, and a computer to program I created a name tag because it offered a simple but good way to express creativity. This project taught me the basics of coding, allowing me to explore all the different creative ideas and what to create or what other people have made.

 During this process, I learned how to code the micro;bits, it was a very cool but confusing process. This project overall helped me a ton, with understanding stuff about coding.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Digital Citizen because when I needed help on what to do I would look it up on the internet, or if i was answering a question I could look at other people's past projects and make that help me understand the question more.

A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing where to put some of the bars or like the options on the drop down menu. I was able to do it by asking a friend or looking at people's past projects to see what they did or how they did it.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change some of the smaller projects The reason why I would change it is because I could improve them more to make them more complex, and more details on it to make it look and be nicer and smoother when changing.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in a Web Developer because, If i make my projects better, I could make a website with them that could help other people if they are stuck or need help. Or you can Help maintain the website from bugs or errors.
