7P6 - Virtual Reality

Using cospaces, I created a floor is lava game because we were making vr worlds and that was the coolest idea I had. In my world, you have to jump from object to object to get to the finish. It is challenging, but also very fun to play.

During this process, I learned how to get different objects and make them different sizes. I also learned how to insert a picture on the floor so it would look like lava. A6nother thing is I learned how to do is use the vr goggles to move around in my world.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I used technology tools to create a design, and I thought of solutions to solve problems.

A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to get things not too far apart so it wouldn't be too hard to jump. I was able to do it by checking how hard it was to jump when playing in my world.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the world I did. The reason why I would change it is because I really wanted to do the break out of prison too, but I decided on the floor is lava. Another thing I would change is the objects I used for my world. I would change them to make it have more variety.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in AR/VR Prototyper .
