Today I finished my last scene and made my video. I also made my reflection.
Reflection
Using a merge cube, and an iPad, I created a merge cube story about a trip to the zoo because it sounded interesting to me, and it was the easiest thing on my list of 10 ideas. I also made a video on iMovie showing my story on the merge cube.
During this process, I learned how to decorate, turn, change the color, make speech bubbles, and so much more on a merge cube. I also learned how to use Cospaces Edu. I learned how to use the snipping tool and add the snips to my daily log on my website.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I used technology tools to create a merge cube story.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to figure out how to turn the cube so I could make the bottom scene. I was able to do it by watching videos online to help me be able to turn it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the story I made. The reason why I would change it is because the story I made was kind of a rush job because I honestly felt like I didn't have enough time.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Project Engineer / Machine Designer (FT) .
