During this process, I learned how to use the laser cutter with wood and how to make things made out wood with the laser cutter..
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because i had to learn to make a project on the laser cutter with wood. Also how to make a svg for a wood project.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to send a svg for a wood project on the laser cutter. I was able to do it by watching a video on Mr. Renners website and getting help from Mr. Renner.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the things my coasters say. The reason why I would change it is because I think they look a little boring and i want to make them look cooler.

My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in designing and woodworking.
