Using tinkercad , I created a chess board made out of wood and 3d printed pieces because i wanted a chess board but it looked hard to make completely out of wood.
During this process, I learned how to make chess pieces on the 3d printer .
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because we created and built a chess board and pieces.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the pieces look nice. I was able to do it by messing with it on tinker CAD till I found one that would work. Also not having all the pieces.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change printing all the pieces. The reason why I would change it is because i didn't group the things and by doing that only 2 pieces printed instead of all of them.
