8p7-laser cutter

Using tinker cad and the glow forge, I created a key chain sign for my mom because her new car makes her look gangster.

During this process, I learned how to use the glow forge and how to send a svg file. also how to pop out the plastic when its done.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge constructor because I had to learn to use laser cutter. I learned how to use it by watching Mr. Renner's video. Also had to figure out how to get the top paper layer off of my project without scratching it.

A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out what I needed to send Mr. Renner for the svg. I was able to do it by having him show me and me figuring out it that I needed to send 2 separate ones. The first was the outline of my key chain the 2nd was the words. Then it worked.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of my project. The reason why I would change it is because it came out a little smaller than i would've like it to be.
