Using an electric skate board kit and some tools and an ipad, I created an electric skate board because we wanted to do something creative and harder to do.
During this process, I learned how to use some different tools.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovated designer because we are piecing together a skate board.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to put the motor mount on the axle so that it would not drag on the floor. I was able to do it by taking it apart and putting it back together and being more careful the second time.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change some of the directions so that it would be more clear. The reason why I would change it is because some of it was hard to understand.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering and design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in building things of of blueprints because we built it with instructions.
