Q1: I am working with a team.
Q2: I need tracks, cars, and surfaces.
Q3: I my plan is to try to make the track as long as possible.
Q4: The unique qualities are that I haven't seen anyone do hotwheels yet.
Day 4
Using Hot Wheels, I created a Hot Wheels track because I wanted to see which of the cars are faster.
During this process, I learned that the golden car is the fastest.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I used my knowledge from other things like math to see what angle got the car around the loops.
A challenge I overcame on this project was seeing what car was the best and how we could get it around 2 loops. I was able to do it by changing the trajectory.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how long the track is. The reason why I would change it is because the track is kind of short and not that complicated.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Engineering and toy testing.
