Class Standards

1. Empowered Learner 

An empowered learner is someone who can set a goal and can demonstrate achieving the goal. An empowered learner is also engaged in learning. An empowered learner also is willing to learn something new to expand their comfort zone. 

2.  Digital Citizen 

Students should be able to recognize the rights they have with technology and be able to use it appropriately. They can also understand that what goes up on the internet is permanent and irreversible. They can also understand what cookies are and can decide to let the website use cookies. 

3.  Knowledge Constructor 

A knowledge constructor is able to use a search engine online to either research or solve a problem. They can also use chrome’s history feature to open previously opened sites. They also use a variety of sources/websites when doing research. 

4. Innovative Designer 

An innovative designer is able to use technology to communicate with other people to better understand a topic. They use a variety of technologies within a design process. They are overall using a variety of ways to solve problems. 

5. Computational Thinker 

A computational thinker is able to use strategies to understand and solve a problem using technological elements. They are also able to collect some data from a relevant source. And is able to draw up definitions made for technology. 

6. Creative Communicator

A creative communicator is able to communicate clearly and is able to express themselves creatively. They are able to do a variety of purposes using the platform. They will do all of this using digital media appropriate to their goals. 

7. Global Collaborator 

Students are able to use digital tools to widen their perspectives and enhance their learning by teaming up with others. While teamed up they will be working effectively in teams. They will collaborate globally from multiple viewpoints.
