7P1-Video

Using an iPad in iMovie, I created a movie about my favorite sports. I picked it because I play sports everyday. Also without learning how to use iMovie I wouldn't know how to use basic editing tools.

During this process, I learned how to add voice overs and titles onto iMovie. I also learned how to save and enter images for each of my slides. Without knowing these things I couldn't have done anything.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I picked out all the photos and added everything by myself. I came up with my own idea and which sports to include. 

A challenge I overcame on this project was deciding which photos to use. I was able to do it by asking my friends which looked best. Then deciding which sound effects went best with each sport.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change what my video is about. The reason why I would change it is because I wanted to add more stuff not just about sports. I want people to know more of what I like.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in sports videography because it deals with making videos. It also has me add effects which many videographers do. Many videographers post their work on a website like I do.
