8P4-My VR world

• Using Cospaces, I created a house and a bouncing rocket ship in a VR world because I have never created a house or coded a rocket ship before. last year I created a small town with people on the sidewalk and a car leaving the city, but not a house by its self. A reason I coded a rocket ship is because I wanted to learn more about the coding in Cospaces.

• During this process, I learned more about the coding and all the different stuff you can do. For example, you can create a farm, city, an amusement park. You name it, I bet you can create it. One thing I learned about coding is that you can code everything. You can have a toilet fly, a car do donuts, etc.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because the kind of world I used was a world for something like an art museum. So I thought outside the box.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was coding the rocket ship. I was able to do it by making the bounciness maxed out and just having the rocket ship bounce up. I did not know how to have the rocket ship fly. The next time I try to do Cospaces, I will try to learn how to code the rocket ship.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the layout of the house and what I put in the house. The reason why I would change it is because most of the house looks empty, bland, and boring. It looks like I did not try whatsoever. So next time I will add more stuff and change where I put the rooms.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Web developer, Database administrator, and Computer systems engineer.
