This is me coding the Sphero Mini to go on the lines that shape is like a square or a rectangle.
Do the Maze and exit out of the 1st exit.
Do the Maze and exit out of the 2nd exit.
Do the Maze and exit out of the 3rd exit.
Do a shape a it harder than the square, its the rectangle.
Do the easiest shape, the square.
Do the hardest shape, the circle.
Make the Sphero Mini do a race with other kinds of Sphero robots.
Make the robot go on a ramp and into a cup.
Do a trickshot with the Sphero Mini.
Code the Sphero to go through a very hard maze.
Do a hard shape, a triangle.
Code it to go over a bridge made from classroom materials.
Do a very hard shape, a octagon.
Do a easier shape, a hexagon.
Code the Sphero to come up with a random math problem.
Code the Sphero to come up with a question from the Civil War.
Code the Sphero to ask a question from any subject.
Code the Sphero to say your name.
Code the Sphero to do the letter D.
Code the Sphero to deliver a message to the office.
Code the Sphero to say, "I love you, Mom!"
Code the Sphero to say, "I love you, Dad!"
Make the Sphero battle another Sphero.
Make the Sphero talk to another Sphero.
Make the Sphero make a conversation with a person.
Using Sphero EDU, I coded the Sphero Mini to go around a square/rectangle (I don't know) because I totally forgot how to code a Sphero and all of the controls. I forgot all of the coding blocks, from the one that changes color to the one the block that actually moves the Sphero. I was trying to do the maze, but it was too hard and I could not do it in time. So I decided to go an easier route and remember what blocks to do what and all of that. Now people may think that I still remember all of the coding from last year, but I don't.
During this process, I remembered all of the coding blocks that I used last year for the Sphero Mini. I know it may seem weird that I forgot everything, but from the Coronavirus, to the vaccines, to politics, to all of the racist and not good things that have happened, I just forgot about the Sphero. But now I am all good. I remembered about the tacking thing, the directions and how fast it goes, the changing of the colors, all of that.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I decided that I wanted to remember all of the coding blocks for the Sphero Mini. I could of just not remembered and do a different project, but I decided that I wanted to remember and even learn more coding blocks.
A challenge I overcame on this project was what I was gonna do, like was I gonna do the maze or a shape. I was able to do it by doing the maze first and then when it came down to the last day, I decided that it would be better to do a square because it would be faster and I would not have this assignment late. I could of done the Hexagon, but I was too worried about having a missing assignment that I decided to do the easiest shape, a square, or a rectangle..
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the shape. The reason why I would change it is because the square is the easiest shape, the hexagon would be the perfect shape. It is not too hard, but not too easy. If I could not do a shape, I would do the maze on the 1st exit. That is hard, but not THAT hard. I bet that a 6th grader that has have enough practice with the Sphero could definitely do the maze. But the 6h grades are also very dumb.
