8P4-Circuit Playground Express

Using circuit playground express, I created codes for the adafruit because in order to make something on the adafruit you need to have codes. Those codes can be anything you want to make. I made many different patterns, colors and sounds with the adafruit.

During this process, I learned how to use the adafruit and make them codes. When coding the adafruit I had to find ways so it wasn"t to annoying or bright for long periods of times. I also learned how to use the coding video to my advantage and make something pretty cool!

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learner because we used the adafruit to make many different codes. Another reason adafruit ties to an empowered learner is because I knew how to make the codes and I understand how to make codes for the adafruit.

A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out what code order I wanted for my adafruit. I was able to do it by searching up ideas on google them using those to figure out many codes for my codes. I was also able to do it by putting random inputs in for my codes.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the duration and make them a little longer.  The reason why I would change it is because I feel the some of the codes were very short. Other thing I would change are the colors and the way for the codes to start. I'd like to do different sounds levels.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  They connect because I was using a computer to program my codes for the adafruit.

My project connects to careers in  software developer because I used codes to get my adafruit to work and being a software developer they have to try many different codes to get your software how you want it. It also connects because I changed my code on a daily basics. Doing these things can make me smrter and it also can help increase my skills with coding.
