Today i: made the top of my hat and half of the side of the hat.
Tomorrow i: have to finish the other half of my hat and the rim.

Today i: made the other half of my hat and I i started making the rim for the hat.
Tomorrow i: have to finish the rim to my hat and start taping the hat.

Today i: finished the rim of my hat and i got down with twping half of my hat.
Tomorrow i: half to finish taping and take pictures of it.

What materials will you need for your project?
I will need cardboard, tape, and hot glue.
What is your plan to create in this project?
A hat.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will be made out of cardboard and will fit on your head.
Using cardboard, tape, ho glue, I created a larger hat because I wanted to made some sort of hat that I don't have.
During this process, I learned how to make a very tall hat made out of cardboard and I also learned how to bend cardboard.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I looked online to help me decided what to make.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to bend the cardboard. I was able to do it by ripping some of the cardboard off of the middle piece and then it started to bend.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how big I made the hat. The reason why I would change it is because I think it would look better if it was bigger.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering and design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Mechanical 3D CAD Design Engineer. .
