Trojan Families,
It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving Break is only two weeks away.
This past week, our school participated in the GSAPS School Review, and we are eagerly anticipating the results. The insights gained from this review will guide us as we continue striving to provide the best possible educational experience for our students.
I would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the PTSO and the entire community for their ongoing support of our faculty and staff. The dedication and generosity demonstrated by our school community are truly exceptional. Thank you for all that you do to help make our school a wonderful place for both students and educators.
Feed the Light!
David Wagner
Principal, NHMS
We have had a few near-accidents during morning car rider drop-off, and the safety of our students and families remains our top priority. Please stay in the first lane and do not pass other cars in the car rider line.
There are also a couple of buses that need to drop off students in the lower parking lot. We ask that you be patient and allow these buses to complete their drop-offs before proceeding.
Additionally, please remember that the speed limit on Rilla Road is 25 MPH, as some of our high school students cross Rilla Road in the mornings.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
Coach Wagner

You Are Invited to Honor Our
VETERANS
In Our Annual Veterans Day Assembly
Tuesday, November 11, 2025
9:00 a.m.
North Hall Middle School Gymnasium
Light fare reception for our Veteran Guests will be offered immediately after the Assembly.
If you would like to honor a veteran in our Veterans Day presentation, please send a picture to Mrs. Howard at jenny.howard@hallco.org.
Include Veteran's name, branch of military, wars fought (if any), years of experience, and relation to student at NHMS.
If you sent a picture last year, you do not have to resend.
Student participation is a big part of recognizing our Veterans. To that end, we are running an essay contest this year, open to all students in the building.
Can anyone submit a picture of their Veteran to be included in the slideshow?
Yes! Any NHMS staff member or current student can submit a picture. See the flyer below!
Are the Veterans invited?
Yes! We will have our Veterans Day Assembly for the whole school, and then a light reception will be held in the Band Room. Our Veterans and their families are welcome to attend. Our school guests should have identification with them, as per usual events that are open to the public.
If your student is interested in auditioning for Annie Jr., scan this QR code to see what they need to sing for each character. Auditions are after school on December 5th!
These will be available AFTER the picture make-up day in October.
If you have not picked this up, please do this as soon as possible. You can contact the NHMS Front Office.
On the last week of each month, there will be a rolling cart in the lobby for students to pick up any lost items. Any items left at the end of the week will be donated.
Don't miss out! Buy your NHMS yearbook now!
Our HS STEM Activity Club had a blast on Wednesday! They drove the electric car that students from NHHS built. Our students also had the opportunity to control a robot!
If you are interested in joining the STEM Activity club, see Jessica Catrett in room 1219 for a sign-up sheet!
Jacob Reece is our October teacher of the month. Mr. Reece is new to NHMS this year and has FULLY jumped in to help with all things technology. As a BLAST leader, he drops everything to help everyone and does is quick and effectively. Not only is he helpful with technology, Jacob Reece builds great relationships with his students as well as those he does not teach/support. He helps these kids no matter if they are in his class or not, and holds the kids accountable and makes them have manners. We are so thankful to have Mr. Reece at NHMS!
Amber Etris is our October staff of the month! As the school secretary, she is essential at keeping the office organized and ensure that daily operations run smoothly. Her efficiency and attention to detail helps the entire school function effectively and create a welcoming environment for everyone. When you walk in to the office, her loving demeanor and holiday cheer makes all students feel welcome! Thank you Mrs. Etris for what you do for our school:)

Why do we need coaches? Adults bring the program to life for the students by sharing real life experiences. Our volunteers provide those "aha" moments as they help students discover the value of themselves, their education, and their future possibilities! If you have held a job or paid a bill, you will be a valuable volunteer. Check out our Volunteer Video to see a preview of the day.
*Parking, Coffee, Day-of Training, and Lunch provided to all volunteers!
